Here's a fun idea I thought was worth sharing! Get all your children's Christmas books, wrap them, then put them under the Christmas tree. Each night let one of your kids choose a "present" and unwrap it and then read it to them! Here are a few of the books that we have collected through the years that we love:
The Elves and the Shoemaker
The Light of Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The Legend of the Three Trees
The Polar Express
The Crippled Lamb
The Night Before Christmas (can save for Christmas Eve)
The Bible (Luke 2--a good one to save for Christmas Eve in place of the one above)
Emily's Corn Cakes With Black Beans

What a cute idea. We have the Polar Express and of course the Bible, but not much else when it comes to special Christmas books.
Actually, this Christmas break (which has turned into a 3 week vacation instead of 2) we are reading Gregor the Overlander Series by Suzanne Collins which has nothing to do with Christmas, but which my boys are really enjoying.
what a great idea. I'm going to have to try it, my kids would totally love it. Thanks.
