(It might not look like it, but yes, Gwen is wearing leggings, those aren't her bare legs!)
Ryan and I had the honor of going to Gwen's school for a brunch honoring her as she was chosen by her English teacher to be one of the "Grizzlies of the Month". Once again, Ryan was mistaken for one of his brothers, a thing that happens almost everywhere we go--either that or he's 16--take your pick. Gwen's teacher wrote her a really nice letter that she read to everyone. Her reasons for choosing Gwen out of all of her students, are things like:
-She happily participates without drawing undue attention to herself
-She's always prepared to perform any task
-Her smiles and attentiveness indicate that she enjoys what she is learning
-She makes good use of her time
-She is quick to understand a concept and/or instruction
-She will quietly help others to see what to do
-Her teacher can always count on her helpful and supportive influence to carry out a lesson successfully and she notices that classmates look to Gwen as a friend
Is that just so nice or what? We are so thrilled with Gwen's attitude and grades. In first term Gwen had 105.5% and to date she has 102% in her English class. She has been top student out of the three English classes given by this teacher this year. Keep up the good work Gwen! Thanks for your example to us all.
