Good News

To those of you who have been anxiously awaiting to find out if Gwen made the step team......yes! She did! 40 girls tried out, Gwen being the only white girl (not to sound racist in any way, shape, or form, but it's a fact). We didn't know it was such a huge thing here, and all over the south, especially among the African-Americans. It didn't phase Gwen one bit that she was the minority. She had fun learning the routines and has become good friends with some of the girls. About 20 made the final cuts, my little Gwennie being one of them! She's so happy. She loves it. Ever since she was little she's enjoyed doing anything that has to do with rhythm, from watching and practicing the little games on the TV show "Zoom" to her poi balls in hula to playing the piano and violin. She loves rhythm and she loves to perform! She constantly goes around the house doing her routines--while we're making dinner, right before she goes to bed, in the bathroom, all we hear is stomping, slapping, patting, etc. That's my Gwendalina! She's a brave little soul. I admire her for her desire to try something new. She has such a passion for life, for new adventures. I love how she never lets anything get her down. Always positive, just like her Dad! You go girl! So if you're wondering what step is, you can go here. Or you can see below. Pretty groovy stuff!

Wow! That's amazing!!! I didn't know there was such a thing. We've lived in Utah for so long now that I forget what's out there outside of our little "Utah Bubble"! I think it's fantastic that ya'll (a little southern sumpin for ya there) get to have these new adventures and experiences. And think of all the missionary opportunities that could come from this! Fun times!!!!
